Mazel Tov 2020 Grads!

Leah Sussman, daughter of Midbar Kodesh Temple members Laura Sussman and Wendy Kraft, graduated from the Yale University master's program in public health with a emphasis in health policy. She will begin working for RTI International, a nonprofit research institute in Boston. Leah earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Occidental College in Los Angeles in Diplomacy and World Affairs. Prior to attending Yale, Leah worked for Kraft-Sussman Funeral Service, AmeriCorps, and Immunize Nevada. She is also licensed funeral director.

Chloe Lelchuk, granddaughter to Midbar's Al and Ruth Lelchuk, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where she received a B.A. in both Media Studies and Political Science. She is looking to build a career in entertainment marketing, content development, social media, and/or writing for the internet.

In her time at UC Berkeley, she served as a staff writer, social media manager, assistant and head Blog Editor, and Senior Staffer for The Daily Californian, where she had the pleasure of writing over 120 pieces that exist solely to make fun of her school (one of which has even been picked up by the literal dictionary!) She previously interned at Comedy Central, Fullscreen, and Warner Bros. Entertainment in various marketing and branded content development roles

Shayna M. Block, granddaughter of Midbar Kodesh Temple members Ardie and Beverly Block, is an honors graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Arts. She is pursuing a career in fashion photography. Shayna is the daughter of Brian and Vera Block of San Diego, formerly of Las Vegas, Nevada.
