Meet Miss Sharon at the Midbar Kodesh Early Childhood Center!
Sharon Winkler, Lead Teacher in the 3 year old Pilonim class, is a familiar face to Midbar Kodesh Temple as she and her family have been members for more than 20 years and has been on the Early Childhood Center teaching staff for five years. She is married to Dr. Steven Winkler, and both of their children were educated in the Midbar Kodesh Religious School, celebrating their Bar and Bat Mitzvah in our sanctuary. The Winklers traveled with family on a trip to Israel where they celebrated their daughter's bat mitzvah at Masada. When their children were younger, Sharon participated in Midbar Kodesh's Mommy and Me classes and was a leader of the Midbar Kodesh Cub Scout Pack 713, while her own daughter attended Midbar Kodesh Early Childhood Center.
Miss Sharon received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Development from California State College Northridge and taught at a Nursery and Daycare center in Chicago. Sharon has also been a preschool Lead Teacher at The Challenger School and at The Henderson International School. She brings her background in education and Judaism to the children at Midbar Kodesh Early Childhood Center and enjoys watching the children grow up in the synagogue environment.
Miss Sharon is joined by teacher's assistant Sharon Monosov to work with Midbar Kodesh's 3 year olds.
