Mazel Tov Gillian and the Lelchuk family!
Gillian Lelchuk, granddaughter to Midbar Kodesh congregants Al & Ruth Lelchuk, earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Writing Seminars and Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University with a minor in the Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. She finished with a GPA of 3.56.
She has decided to stay in Baltimore to pursue a career in theater. She will be directing "Black Dog," an original play by Rachel Linton, for Charm City Fringe Festival this fall. While at Johns Hopkins Gillian was the Editor in Chief of the Johns Hopkins news-letter and Vice President of Professional Productions, Johns Hopkins University Barnstormers. She worked as an intern at Focus Media Marketing, Inc. in Marina Del Rey, Ca. last summer.
Her parents Dan & Debbie Lelchuk live in Rossmoor, Ca. Her sister Natasha graduated from Reed College, Portland Or., with a BA in English and then got an MBA from UC, Irvine. Natasha teaches English at South Elmonte High School.
