Back in Class at Midbar Kodesh Temple Early Childhood Center
Midbar Kodesh Temple's Early Childhood Center returned to the classroom in August for children 18 months to pre-K. The school's progressive curriculum mixes academic and social development in an environment that is loving and safe, offering half and full day programs from 2 to 5 days a week, depending on the grade level. Before and after car are available daily.
The Midbar Kodesh Temple ECC prepares students for a lifetime of academics in public or private elementary school and beyond while teaching Jewish values of healing the world, welcoming the stranger, participating in acts of kindess and giving charity, which ar taught daily with a focus on the social and intellectual growth of all students. Shabbat is celebrated each week and the holidays, festivals and Israel studies are introduced.
Parents have a chance to interact with each other during "Parent Circle" casual dinners. Speakers and topics are featured during this parents' only evening held in the homes of ECC families. "Family Fridays," a program for an adult and infant up to 18 months old, will be reintroduced this year in a different format. Club Kehillah will continue to offer programming for families with small children at Tot Shabbat, field trips out and about the community, interaction with PJ Library and more. The popular "Parents' Night Out" will again be featured during the school year.
